About InhibOx
InhibOx aims to change the way computer-aided drug discovery (CADD) is approached, and has spent ten years developing technologies, databases and methodologies to make this happen.
The company is based in Oxford, UK and Princeton, New Jersey, USA. We were set up as a spin-out from Oxford University, and you can read more about our history here.

We believe that virtual screening – a promising drug discovery approach - has been undermined by being applied without adequate data sets to mine and without sufficiently rigorous processes to follow. Docking studies undertaken to refine hits have similarly suffered from the shortcuts and assumptions necessary to accommodate available computing resources. The outcome has been disappointing results for many from approaches which really should be offering fantastic insights, huge cost benefits and valuable support to traditional screening methodologies.
InhibOx delivers value in its virtual screening and docking studies, and across the board in computer-aided drug discovery (CADD). We have pioneered the use of cloud computing to build Scopius – the world’s largest high-quality screening database, containing 110 million accessible, drug-like compounds. We have developed ultrafast search capabilities to complement Scopius, and rigorous docking approaches. We recently also launched a flexible new fragment-based design system.
This portfolio, in combination with our partners’ technologies and deep in-house expertise from years’ of experience in real-world pharma and biotech research, uniquely equips us to handle the most challenging CADD projects for our clients and to implement our systems on-site to incorporate their proprietary data. When we take on a project, we deliver high quality results and insights - every time.
