InhibOx presents at 8th International Symposium on Carbonic Anhydrases: “Computational Approaches to the Design of New Carbonic Anhdydrase Inhibitors”

On 17th September 2009 as part of the at 8th International Symposium on Carbonic Anhydrases held in Florence, Italy, InhibOx presented its work on “Computational Approaches to the Design of New Carbonic Anhdydrase Inhibitors”. This work has been performed as part of the EU Framework 6 collaborative research programme “DeZnIT”, of which InhibOx is a member. Recent advances, especially in our structural knowledge of important CA isoforms such as CA IX and CA XII, which are tumour associated, make the design of carbonic anhydrase inhibitors an important area of research. InhibOx is bringing its expert skills and breakthrough virtual screening technology to bear on the project and is working closely with other DeZnIT members to identify and develop novel CA inhibitors for the treatment of cancer.
